According to the Mainland's "Red Star News", on 1 July, the two Chinese who were kidnapped and killed in the Philippines a few days ago were working in two different medical device companies, and both of them were senior executives of listed companies.
It is learnt that the two men arrived in the Philippines on 20 June for a business visit with the intention of further expanding overseas markets, but they were kidnapped.
One of the family members of the kidnappers paid a ransom of 3 million yuan to the kidnappers, but the kidnappers still tore up the ticket, and now the local police, the Chinese Ministry of Public Security, and the U.S. FBI have intervened in the investigation.

Here, Ling Lingzi looks for a replacement to remind everyone:
There have been a number of kidnappings in the Philippines in recent years and this incident is not an isolated one.
If you are travelling to the Philippines on business, you must be highly vigilant of your personal safety. Enhance your awareness of safety precautions and contact the local police and the Embassy/Consulate in case of emergency.
