根據內地«紅星新聞»報導，7月1日，日前在菲律賓遭遇綁架及遇害的兩名中國人是在兩家不同的醫療器械公司工作，兩人都是上市公司高管人員。
據悉，兩人相約6月20日抵達菲律賓考察業務，有意進一步拓展海外市場，卻遭遇綁架。
遭遇綁架的其中一位家屬向綁匪支付300萬元贖金，但綁匪仍然撕票，目前當地警方、中國公安部、美國FBI已介入調查。
